Arthur E. Foster, 64, of 1765 31st St., died September 13, 2006, at home, following a sudden illness. Memorial Services: 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 16, 2006, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion by Rev. Carol Sundberg. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.
Survivors include his wife, Wanda of Marion; two sons, Aaron (Elizabeth) Severs Foster of Houston and Wes Foster of Des Moines; his father, Rev. Lloyd (Myrtle) Foster of Janesville, Wisconsin; seven brothers; and four sisters.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Gladys.
Arthur was born March 15, 1942, the son of Lloyd and Gladys (Severs) Foster in Quincy, Illinois. On August 16, 1973, he married Wanda Carlson in Teheran, Iran. Arthur served with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He worked at Rockwell, retiring after twenty-five years. Arthur was a member of the Waltonian Archers of Linn County and American Marble Society.
Military honors will be provided by American Legion Post No. 298 of Marion.
