Arnie D. Deeds, 44, of 4942 Duck Pond Rd., Central City, died Tuesday, September 16, 2003, at Mercy Hospital in Dubuque, from injuries of a motorcycle accident. Services: 10 a.m. Saturday, September 20, 2003, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion by Rev. Robert Pate. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his wife, Linda of Central City; his mother, Lorene of Cedar Rapids; a daughter, Chantelle of Hiawatha; four sisters, Sue (Jeff) Bahndorf of Delhi, Shawn Deeds and Calvin Combs of Cedar Rapids, Karene (Duane) Patterson of Cedar Rapids and Launda (Greg) Terry of Trinity, Alabama; his mother-in-law, Yvonne Harger of Marion; half-sister, Rhonda Fisk of Cedar Rapids; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Arnie was born January 28, 1959, the son of Arnold and Lorene (Minkler) Deeds Sr. in Cedar Rapids. On April 16, 1992, he married Linda Harger in Central City. Arnie worked at Quaker Oats as an operator on the corn meal line.
Instead of flowers a memorial fund has been established for Chantelle?s College Fund.
