Arlo Schultz, 91, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Saturday, November 13, 2021. A memorial service will take place at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Marion, Iowa, with a visitation one hour prior. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids is assisting the family with arrangements.
Arlo was born February 24, 1930, in Boone, Iowa, the son of Gilbert and Alma (Stolte) Schultz. He served in the National Guard. Arlo was united in marriage to Virginia “Maxine” Partridge on April 21, 1956, in Marshalltown, Iowa. He worked at Rockwell Collins until his retirement in 1993. Arlo was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church.
Survivors include his daughter, Deborah Schultz of Cedar Rapids; son, Stephen Schultz of Cedar Rapids; and grandchildren, Eliza and Zachary Schultz.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Alma Schultz; his beloved wife of 65 years, Maxine Schultz; son, David Schultz; and sisters, Ione Larson and Leah Lander.
Memorials may be directed to the Indian Creek Nature Center.
