Arline Mae Ritze (Snell)

Arline M. Ritze, 87, of Alburnett, Iowa, died, Monday, April 14, 2008, peacefully at her home. Services: 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 18, 2008, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion, by Rev. Nick Longworth. The family will greet friends from 4 - 8 p.m. Thursday, April 17, 2008, at the funeral home. Burial: Layfayette Cemetery, Alburnett, Iowa.
Survivors include her two sons, Rex Ritze and Richard Ritze, both of Alburnett; four grandchildren, Richard (Laura) Ritze, Raelinn Ritze, Racheal (Doug) Ritze and Robbie (Dana) Ritze; and three great-grandchildren, Jordan, Makayla, and Olivia.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Melvin
Arline was born May 14, 1920, the daughter of Allan Wessley and Alice (Benson) Snell, in Chelsea, Iowa. She graduated from Central City High School. Arline married Melvin Ritze on October 10, 1941 in Kahoka, Missouri. He died on February 14, 1995. Arline enjoyed flowers, gardening, and having her family around for gatherings. She was active in the Alburnett Historical Society and the Alburnett Book Club.
A memorial fund has been established in Arline’s memory.
