Arlette J. Dobling, 65, of 2425 1st Ave., died Thursday, September 1, 2005, at home, of cancer. Graveside Service: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 3, 2005, at Lost Nation Cemetery by Rev. Laird Keever & Tom Morrisey. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion.

Survivors include her husband, Bob of Marion; a son, Brett Dobling and wife Monica of Marion; a daughter, Tesha Dobling & Brian Hoyer of Marion; her mother, Arlene Oster of Lowden; four grandchildren, Jessica Blazek, Broc & Bryle Dobling, all of Marion, and Raymond Colony of Central City; a brother, Gary Oster of Lowden; a sister-in-law, Barb Dobling of Oxford Junction; her in-laws, Arnold and Irene Sobotka of Oxford Junction; a niece, Mary Elizabeth Dobling of Oxford Junction; and two nephews, Brian and Michael Dobling of Oxford Junction.

She was preceded in death by her father, George Oster and a brother-in-law, Richard Dobling.

Arlette was born June 5, 1940, the daughter of George and Arlene (Siemens) Oster in Dysart. On June 24, 1962, she married Robert Dobling in Oxford Junction. Arlette received her Bacholor of Science degree from the University of Iowa in 1962. She worked as a Dental Hygienist for thirty years and alongside her husband Bob at Marion Live Bait. She was an avid Cubs fan and enjoyed fishing, reading and playing bridge. She was a member of Alanon.
