Arlene Rose (Wulfekuhle) Ronnebaum of Earlville, died Sunday, January 29, 2006 at Regional Medical Center in Manchester following a brief illness.

Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at St. Joseph?s Catholic Church in Earlville by Rev. Herbert Tegeler. Friends may call from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday at the Clifton-Murdoch Funeral Home in Earlville with a rosary at 4 p.m. and scripture service at 7 p.m. Burial will be in St. Joseph?s Catholic Cemetery, Earlville.

Arlene was born February 22, 1927 in Earlville, the daughter of William & Catherine (Knipper) Wulfekuhle. On September 25, 1946 Arlene was united in marriage to Ernest G. Ronnebaum at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Masonville. The couple farmed north of Earlville until semi-retirement in 1983.

Arlene was a member of St. Joseph?s Parish in Earlville, Ladies Guild and High Hopes Club. Her biggest love was her family of 5 children, 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren and her job at Wal-Mart in Manchester. Rarely did she miss a school sports activity that her children or grandchildren participated in; most recently West Delaware High School Wrestling. Arlene was noted as being a wonderful cook and a caring person.

Arlene is survived by her husband, Ernest Ronnebaum of Earlville; five children, Ronald (Joan) Ronnebaum, Delbert (Darlene) Ronnebaum and Mary (James) Langel of Earlville, Alice Munz (Dennis Armstrong) of Spirit Lake, and Lisa (Joseph) Jaeger of Masonville; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Harold (Marie) Wulfekuhle of Edgewood, Leonard (Vera) Wulfekuhle of Independence, Floyd (Helen) Wulfekuhle and Wilbur (Erma) Wulfekuhle, both of Manchester; two sisters-in-law, JoAnnWulfekuhle of Independence and Alberta Ronnebaum of Earlville; and several nieces and nephews.

Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, William & Catherine Wulfekuhle; two brothers, Lawrence & Arnold Wulfekuhle; a daughter-in-law, Jeanna (Bockenstedt) Ronnebaum; a sister-in-law, Berniece Wulfekuhle; and a brother-in-law, Matthias Ronnebaum.
