Arlene Frances Haugse (Beltz)

Arlene Haugse, 71, of Hiawatha, Iowa, died Thursday, August 9, 2012, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids. A gathering for friends and family will be held from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her husband, Don Haugse; son, Steve Haugse of Newport, MN; mother, Frances Beltz of Cedar Rapids; sister, Janet (John) Anstrom of Hiawatha; her dog, Lacey; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Clarence.
Arlene was born on October 10, 1940, in Cedar Rapids, daughter of Clarence and Frances (Cejka) Beltz. On November 8, 1963, she married Don Haugse. Arlene worked for many years as an Personal Trust Associate for the trust dept at U.S. Bank. She enjoyed sewing, reading and gardening.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Hiawatha Public Library in Arlene’s memory.
