Anthony Craig Shelton, 37, of Rothschild, WI, formerly of Central City, IA, died Wednesday, August 6, 2014, at his home. Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 12, 2014, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Central City, by Pastor Vicki Engelmann. The family will greet friends from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, August 11, 2014, at the funeral home in Central City. Burial: Mt. Clark Cemetery, Central City.
Survivors include his wife, Jennifer; mother, Judy Shelton Siex (Ray Bailey); grandmother, Ostia Shelton; uncle, Craig (Barb) Shelton; two cousins, Crystal Shelton, and Mindy Miller; sister-in-law, Christine (Mike) Schlichte, and their family, Lindsey (Alex) Bowman, Emily Schlichte, and Jeff Schlichte; and great-niece, Brinley Bowman.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Doyle Shelton; and mother-in-law, Micki Cline.
Tony was born October 5, 1976, in Cedar Rapids. He graduated from Central City High School and married Jennifer Cline on February 26, 2000, in Central City. Tony worked for Amana and Quaker Oats in Cedar Rapids. He enjoyed riding his dirt bike with friends, shooting at the range with his buddies, trips to Oklahoma, fishing, camping, and NASCAR. Tony loved his dog, Riley. He was very close with his nephew, Jeff, they were more like brothers.
