Anthony John Roman
August 18, 1918 — January 13, 2004
Anthony John Roman, 84, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, January 13, 2004, at Mercy Medical Center following a heart attack. Memorial Service will be at a later date.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie; a son Dennis of Cedar Rapids, a daughter Donna Chabot of Scotia, New York; a sister Mary Kofron; a brother Frank; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many cousins and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Anthony was born August 18, 1919, in Czechoslavkia, the son of Anthony and Mary (Kreci) Roman. He married Marjorie Hook on September 9, 1950, in Dubuque, Iowa. Anthony was a forklift operator at Farmstead Foods for 35 years. He served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII. He will be greatly missed.
