Anna Salehoglu
January 21, 1926 — November 30, 2006
Anna Polakova Salehoglu, 80, of 193 16th Avenue SW, Cedar Rapids, died Thursday evening, November 30, 2006, at St. Luke?s Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Graveside Services were conducted Friday, December 1, 2006, at Islamic Center Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her husband, Abdurahman "Abe?; three children, Aminet (Ike) Madni of Orlando, Florida, Hayder (Diane) Salehoglu and Holly (Don) Richards, all of Cedar Rapids; five grandsons; and a great-granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Anna was born January 21, 1926, in Rostov, Russia. In 1943, she was united in marriage to Abdurahman Salehoglu in Lexington, Germany. Anna settled in Marengo, Iowa in 1951and then moved to Cedar Rapids in 1953. She was a very compassionate and caring person who loved everyone no matter who they were. Anna had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to play practical jokes. A loving mother, grandmother, and wife, she was adored by her family and friends and will be dearly missed.
