Anna Jane Hepker (Neve)

Anna Jane Hepker, 82, of Wayland, Iowa, formerly of Urbana, died Tuesday, August 5, 2008, in the Henry County Health Center, Mr. Pleasant, following a long illness. Services: 10:30 a.m., Friday, August 8, 2008, at the First Christian Church, Center Point, by the Rev. John Caughron. Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, August 7, 2008, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point. Burial: Shiloh Cemetery, Hiawatha.
Survivors include children, Janice Sarchett and her fiancé Mark Hickle of Wayland, Iowa; JoAnn (Chuck) Anderson of Frost, Minnesota and Jill Likens of St. Charles, Missouri; seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and one sister, Betty (Delbert) Selken of Cedar Rapids.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dale; her great grandchild, Peyton Jane; three sisters, Hazel (Louis) Halliwill, Ruby (Gale) Noeller and Donna (Jon) Hamilton; and three brothers-in-law.
Jane was born June 13, 1926, in Vinton, Iowa, the daughter of Melford and Veda (Hurst) Neve. She graduated from Vinton High School. Jane then attended and graduated from Paris Academy Beauty College. On August 31, 1960, she married Dale Hepker. She owned and operated Jane’s Beauty Shop for over 40 years in Urbana, Brandon and Shellsburg.
Jane was a member of the First Christian Church.
A memorial fund has been established in Jane’s memory.
