Ann Holscher, 83, of Earlville, died Friday, June 22, 2007 at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester, following a short illness.
Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at the Clifton-Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Earlville by Pastor Ruth Tibbott. Family will greet friends from 2-8 p.m. on Monday and one hour before services Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Earlville.
Ann was born May 27, 1924 in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Frederick Lewis and Laura Anna (Schleicher) LeClere. She graduated from McKinley High School in 1942 and began working in a law office. On July 15, 1945 Ann was united in marriage to James A. Holscher at Trinity Lutheran Church in Cedar Rapids. The couple settled in Manchester then Earlville. They owned Holscher Motor. James died in 1980. Ann continued to live in their home and care for their son, Don Don.
Ann was a member of the National Women's Bowling Association.
Ann is survived by four children, Bob (Julia) Holscher of St. Cloud, MN, Pat Cole of Cedar Falls, Sandy (Terry) Frommelt of Greeley and Don Don Holscher of Greeley; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; two sisters, Irene Pendarvis of Junction City, KS and Mary (Hilbert) Janssen of Vinton; a brother, Edward LeClere of Cedar Rapids; and two sisters-in-law, Bonnie Jean (Ned) Walling of Davenport and Jan Holscher of Waterloo.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Frederick & Laura LeClere; her husband, James Holscher; brothers, Raymond, William, George, Kenneth, Robert and Casper LeClere; brothers-in-law, Harold Holscher and William Holscher; a granddaughter, Sarah Ann Holscher; and son-in-law, Bruce Tibbott.
