Ann I. Bean, 84, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Saturday, March 3, 2007, in her home. Services: 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 6, 2007, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Bill Harnish. The family will greet friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Monday, March 5, at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her son, Theodore L. (Rosann) Bean, Jr.; daughter, Nancie-Ann (Gary) McClure; grandchildren, Bryon Bean, Pam Buck, Dawn Weuve, Tonya McClure, Gary Lee McClure and Michael McClure; eight great grandchildren; and her beloved cat, Midget.
She was preceded in death by her mother; her husband, Theodore Sr.; granddaughter, Nancie-Ann McClure; and several brothers and sisters.
Ann was born April 19, 1922, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Harry and Mary Ellen (Beebe) Williams. On October 15, 1938, she married Theordore L. Bean, Sr. He died April 20, 2002. Ann retired from Square D after 30 years.
She was a member of Machinist Union #831 and the American Legion Auxiliary of Cedar Rapids.
Ann was an avid reader, and enjoyed bingo, handcrafting, cooking and being a homemaker.
