Anita Ann Richmond (Bubenyak)
April 24, 1939 — March 14, 2007
Anita "Ann? Richmond, 67, of 314 Orchard Street S.W., Swisher, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2007, at home surrounded by her loving family. The body has been cremated. Visitation with the family will be 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. There will be a private committal service at Anderson Cemetery. The Rev. Cheryl McCullough will officiate.
Survivors include her husband, Ronnie; two sons and their wives, Dale and Tina of Swisher and Dean and Dawn of Fairfax; her beloved grandchildren, Cory, Danielle, Casey, Dillon and Cole. Also surviving is her uncle, James Buell of Wichita and family; cousins; two aunts, Helen Bubenyak and Marion Bubenyak of Centerville; brother-in-law, Pat Richmond of Ottumwa; and two special friends, Helen Parr and Joyce Gaston.
She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
Ann was born April 24, 1939, in Centerville, Iowa, the only child of George and Georgia Bubenyak. She attended school in Ottumwa. She married Ronnie Richmond on September 14, 1957, in Ottumwa and later moved to Swisher. Ann worked for Square D for 37 years, first as an assembler and then as a supervisor/buyer, retiring in 2002. She served four years on the Swisher City Council.
Ann enjoyed watching sports, especially her grandchildren?s activities which were soccer and volleyball. Some of her other interests were jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, reading, knitting, racing and hunting.
Ann was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many and will be dearly missed. We love you.
