Anita Fern Langham (Sanders)

Anita F. Langham, 87, of 1823 Hamilton Street S.W., Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Saturday, November 11, 2006, in Mercy Medical Center, following a long illness. Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday, November, 14, 2006, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Del Bear. The family will greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m., Monday, November 13, 2006, at the funeral home. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her daughters, Jacqueline J. (Lyle) Svoboda of Cedar Rapids and Sharrel M. (Arthur) Scherer of Norfolk, Nebraska; grandchildren, Pam and Rick Post, Philip White, Douglas Cannon, Jr., Donald Cannon, Dixie Cannon, Ellen Reel, and Ronald Spain; many step-grandchildren; great grandchildren; and great great grandchildren; and a sister, Marguerite Francisco of the Hiawatha Care Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents; grandchildren, Gregory White and Michelle Carlton; and sisters, Bessie Mason, Gladys Ferguson and Grace Fuehrer.
Anita was born November 25, 1918, in Benton County, the daughter of Earl and Myrtle (Bolton) Sanders. She married LaVerne Langham. They later divorced. Anita was employed by Collins Radio and Liebrascope before retiring.
