Amy Marie Whitters, 44, of Center Point, died August 27, 2006, at Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids, after an extended illness.
Funeral service: 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 1, 2006, St. Ludmila Catholic Church by Rev. Thomas McDermott. Visitation: 4-8 p.m. Thursday, August 31, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids with a scripture wake service at 6 p.m. and after 9:30 a.m. at the church on Friday. Burial: Shiloh Cemetery, Hiawatha.
Amy was born February 9, 1962, the daughter of Paul E. and Carol J. (Callahan) Whitters. She enjoyed being with her family and especially her children. Amy will be greatly missed.
Amy is survived by seven children, April (Todd) Sallee of El Paso, Texas, Abby Tresnak and Ashley Tresnak, both of Cedar Rapids, Amber Panosh, Allison Huenefeld, Autumn Huenefeld and Arthur Whitters, all of Coggon; two grandchildren; Caiden Tresnak and Alivia Berryman; her parents, Paul and Carol Whitters; six brothers, James Whitters of Alaska, Thomas Whitters and Daniel Whitters, both of Cedar Rapids, John Whitters of Amana, William Whitters of Shueyville and Paul Joseph Whitters of Swisher; two sisters, Cynthia Hynek of Swisher and Rebecca Fisher of Granby, Colorado; an aunt, Judith Kelly; and many nieces and nephews.
