Amanda Maxine Watson, 92, of 3258 County Home Rd., a resident of Linn Manor Care Center, died Saturday, December 4, 2004, at the care center, following a short illness. A private family service will by conducted by the Administrator of Linn Manor Care Center, Grant Hagan.

Survivors include her daughter, Janet (Keith) Staples of Pocatello, Idaho; a sister Ione (Francis "Nick?) Shrope of Marion; a brother, Raymond (Irene) Bonebrake of Marion; four grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; a special niece, Sara Bonnett and several other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Bonnie; a sister, Lela; and an infant brother, Ora Dee.

Maxine was born April 19, 1912, the daughter of Alva Guy and Frankie (Newman) Bonebrake at the family farm near Robins. Maxine graduated from Grant High School in Cedar Rapids in 1929. On April 19, 1930, she married Glenn E. Watson. He died in 1988. Maxine was a realtor for Glenn Watson Realty in North Platte, Nebraska. She was a member of PEO, OES, Choraliers and a thirty-five year member of United Church of Sun City, Arizona.
