Memorial Service: 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 22, 2011, at CrossRoads Mission, 1006 2nd Street S.W., by Chaplain D.E. Pat Kane. Private Inurnment will be held in Florida. Arrangements by Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Born March 16, 1976, in Gainesville, Florida, Allen was the son of Robert and Linda (Harger) Strickland. He worked as a shade tree mechanic.
Survivors include his mother, Linda; daughter, Deborah Julis of Cedar Rapids; stepdaughter, Ashley Julis; step grand daughter, Annabella; adopted niece, Andrea Schropp; and sister, Carla Strickland of Ocala, Florida.
Allen was preceded in death by his father.
