Allen Wayne Lange

Allen Wayne Lange, 96, of Central City, Iowa, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2020, at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown, Iowa. Family will greet friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Monday, March 9, 2020, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion, Iowa. A Funeral Service will follow at 1 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home conducted by Vicki Standley. Burial will take place at Springville Cemetery in Springville, Iowa.
Allen was born October 20, 1923, in Springville, Iowa, the son of Roy and Florence (Betzer) Lange. He graduated from Springville High School. Allen served honorably in the United States Army during World War II from 1943 to 1946. He was owner / operator for Lange’s Y and Lange’s 66. Allen enjoyed dancing and watching football. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Allen is survived and lovingly remembered by his three sons, Douglas of Waubeek, Iowa, Thomas (Debbie) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Bruce (Wendy) of Vinton, Iowa; nine grandchildren, Jessica (Steve), Rebecca (Wes), Kayla (Pat), Bruce Jr. (Megan), Brent, Heather (Dan), Daniel, Trudy (Andy), and Kasey; 15 great-grandchildren, Alexis, Daeton, Mason, Emmett, Carson, Carney, Madilynn, Abby, Zander, Olivia, Mark, Sheanna, Brenden, Brittney, and Tristian; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wives, Ruth and Wilma; and sister, Doris Hazwinkle.
