Allen Lee Hemphill

Allen Lee Hemphill, 44, of 1317 Oakland Road N.E., Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Tuesday, December 12, 2006, in his home following a sudden illness. Memorial Service: 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 15, 2006, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point, by the Rev. Del Bear. The family will greet friends from 9 to 10 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
Survivors include his two sons, Spencer Allen Hemphill and Dalton Lee Hemphill both of Shellsburg; his parents, Richard and Jean Hemphill of Toddville; grandmother, Gertrude Anna Hemphill of Walker.
Also surviving are three sisters, Anna Lyn (Bruce) Shakespeare of Center Point, Diane Lucile (David) Hartwig of Cedar Rapids and Lisa LuAnn Hemphill of Alburnett.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Gerald Hemphill and grandparents, Lester and Ethel Bahr.
Allen was born June 25, 1962, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Richard Allen and Jean Marie (Bahr) Hemphill. He graduated from Alburnett High School. Allen worked in Construction.
A memorial fund has been established in Allen?s memory.
