Allen Feickert, 57, of 2660 Copper Drive, Marion, died Wednesday, September 6, 2006, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Services: 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 11, 2006, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion by Rev. Darran Whiting. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial: Oak Shade Cemetery, Marion.
Survivors include his wife, Susan, of Marion; two sons, Wade (Tami) of Cedar Rapids and Brad of Marion; his mother, Irene Feickert of Frankville; three brothers, Lloyd (Marsha) of Marion, DuWayne (Judy) of Postville, and Jeff (Sharon) of Frankville; and five sisters, Norma Hemry (Wayne) of Ossian, Joyce Nelson (Wayne) of Decorah, Judy Moore (Mike) of Decorah, Vicki Kelley of Ankeny, and Rhonda (Doug) of Frankville.
He was preceded in death by his father, Theodore Feickert.
Allen was born May 27, 1949, the son of Theodore and Irene (Meyer) Feickert in Decorah. He graduated from Postville High School in 1968 and from The Northwest Iowa Vocational School in Sheldon as a power lineman. On August 14, 1971, he married Susan J. Whitehead at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. He has been employed as a power lineman for Linn County R.E.C. in Marion, since 1971. He was a member of First United Presbyterian Church in Marion. Allen enjoyed hunting, fishing, and grooming his yard.
