Allan P. Viktor

Allan P. Viktor, 67, of Mt. Vernon, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 31, 2018. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 5, 2018, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Campbell Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Allan was born August 19, 1951, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Paul and Anne (Elias) Viktor. He grew up on a farm and graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 1969. Allan was employed at Square D, Amana, and General Mills, working in an engineering lab. He returned to college, graduated with honors, and started a nursery business. He loved the outdoors and the beauty of nature.
He is survived by his sister, Diane (Don) Raymond of Solon; an Aunt, Barb Schmitz of Cedar Rapids; and several cousins. Allan was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorials may be directed in Allan’s memory to the American Cancer Society or a favorite charity of the donor’s choice.
