Alice M. Milligan, 100, formerly of Manchester, died Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at Northbrook Manor Care Center, Cedar Rapids. Graveside Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 24, 2012 at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Masonville, IA, by Father Jack Flaherty. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion.
Survivors include her sisters-in-law, Joeann Quint of Marion, Bernice Quint of Cedar Rapids, and Dorothy Quint of Chetek, WI; nieces and nephews, Bob and Barb Quint, Bud and Margie McFadden, Kathy and Steve Enabnit, Kerry and Martha Quint Lawrence, Patti Quint, Sandi Quint, Mike and Nancy Quint, Ray Reth, Harlan Reth, and Ruth Wright; and several great and great-great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; three brothers, Leo, Ernie, and John; and one sister, Clara.
Alice was born February 19, 1912 in Cascade Township, the daughter of John and Sophia (Hemmer) Quint. She married Lee Milligan on October 22, 1949 in Delhi. Lee died in January, 1988. Alice was a longtime cook at Brucemore. She was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary, and received the Governor’s Award for volunteering. Alice was a volunteer for many years at Camp Courageous.
