Alice Leonard, 89, of 3410 12th Avenue SW, Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, February
28, 2009, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids, following a brief illness. Memorial Service:
11:00 a.m. Thursday, March 5, 2009, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Hiawatha.
There will be no visitation. Private Inurnment: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Arrangements with Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her son, Don (Pat) Leonard of Cedar Rapids; three grandchildren, Kelly, Kathleen and Brian; and four great-grandchildren, Gabby, Mickey, Dominic and Vincent.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband.
Alice was born November 30, 1919, the daughter of George and Kathleen (Keller)
Sarback, in New York City. On May 4, 1946, she married Warren Leonard. He died
January 18, 2002. Alice enjoyed singing, dancing and visiting with all her grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
