Alice Evelyn Altmaier

Alice Evelyn Altmaier, 87, died Sunday, January 11, 2015, at Northbrook Manor, Cedar Rapids. Per Alice’s wishes no services will be held at this time. Arrangements by: Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion.
Survivors include her daughter, Barbara (Victor) Pierson of Cedar Rapids; two grandsons, Gary Heck of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and David Heck of Denver, Colorado.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one son, Duane Hubbard.
Alice was born on August 15, 1927, in Bay-Minette, Alabama, the daughter of Frank and Alice (Flowers) Richardson. She worked for Per Mar Security, Rockwell Collins, and Turner Microphone. She was a ship builder during WWII in Mobile, Alabama. Alice enjoyed crocheting and talking with people.
