Albert William Suck

Albert William Suck, 88, a resident of Crestview Acres, Marion, died Saturday, February 13, 2010, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, following a short illness. Services: 1:00 p.m., Friday, February 19, 2010, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion, by Rev. Del Bear. The family will greet friends from 4 – 7, Thursday, February 18, 2010, at the funeral home. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The funeral service, visitation and burial will be private family events and will be by invitation only.
Survivors include a son, William (Heather) Chandler Suck of Marion; 2 daughters, Janet Watkins of Marion, and Virginia Suck of Woodward; 3 grandchildren, William, Lisa and Darcy; 3 great-grandchildren, Kourtney, Katlynn, and Kaydain; and 2 brothers, Henry Suck of LaPorte City, Iowa, and Kenneth Suck of Omaha, Nebraska.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, and a sister, Elizabeth.
Albert was born June 7, 1921, the son of John and Katherine (Banse) Suck, in Garrison, Iowa. He married Margaret Downing on September 11, 1948, in Vinton, Iowa. She died October 6, 1982. Albert served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He worked at Pennick & Ford for many years.
