Agnes M. Sova, 86, a resident of ManorCare Health Services, died Thursday, May 13, 2004, at the care center, following a long illness. Services: 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 17, 2004, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by Father Tom McDermott of St. Ludmila?s Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m., Sunday, May 16, 2004, with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial: St. John?s Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
She is survived by her daughter, Darlene (Charles) Hough of Central City; a grandson, David Hough of Central City; a brother, Robert (Jeanne) Barta of Solon; a niece, Nancy; and a nephew, Jeff.
Born March 15, 1918, the daughter of Adolph and Mary (Balik) Barta, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, she was united in marriage to Leo Sova on May 10, 1941. He died in December 10, 1996. Agnes held a membership with St. Ludmila?s Catholic Church.
