Abdurahman "Abe" Salehoglu

Abdurahman “Abe” Salehoglu, 92, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died February 15, 2011, at St. Luke’s Living Center West in Cedar Rapids.
Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm on Tuesday at the Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home, Cedar Rapids, with Iman Tahir officiating. Burial will be in the Isalmic Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.
Abe was born on January 25, 1919, in the former U.S.S.R. In 1940, Abe married Anna Polikova in Luxemburg Germany. The couple came to the United State in 1951. Abe worked at Iowa Manufacturing as a machinist before retiring in 1981.
Abe enjoyed walking and jogging, and talking with his family and friends. He loved helping those in need and respected all faiths.
Abe is survived by his three children, Hayder (Diane) Salehoglu of Cedar Rapids, Holly (Don) Richards of Cedar Rapids, and Aminet (Ike) Madni of Orlando, Florida; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Abe was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two brothers, and one sister.
Abe will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
