William Paul Kuhl

William Paul Kuhl, 68, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly from heart complications on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids with his loving wife and family by his side. Memories will be shared from 1:00 – 1:30 on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, in the main chapel at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Cedar Rapids with a Celebration of Life Gathering to follow from 1:30 – 3:30 p.m. in The Legacy Center at Murdoch-Linwood, Cedar Rapids.
Paul was born October 20, 1953, in Wakefield, Nebraska, the son of William and Frances (Cadwallader) Kuhl. He graduated from Emerson-Hubbard High School in Emerson, Nebraska. On October 16, 1982, Paul was united in marriage to Sandra McCauley at The Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. Paul was a construction foreman and was still employed at E & F Paving where he worked for nearly 40 years. He enjoyed golfing, camping, watching westerns and sports on TV; especially the Nebraska Huskers, traveling, listening to music, and spending time with his family and friends. Paul will be lovingly remembered for the selfless gift of life as a donor. He will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife, Sandy Kuhl; children, Tina (Tony) Beranek, Sarah (Mike) Ohrtman, Corey (Heather) Dudley and Zach (Shannon) Kuhl; grandchildren, Miranda (Jared) Capouch, Emily Beranek, Zoie, Aiden, and Dax Ohrtman, Caine and Elias Dudley, Ira Egan, and Lucy and Millie-Moo Kuhl; siblings, Pat (Joe) Sautter, Bonnie Fegenbush, Linda Milliken; sister and brother-in-law, Norma and Bill Sharp; and sister-in-law, Linda Kuhl.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Frances Kuhl; paternal grandparents, Ted and Anna Kuhl; maternal grandparents, Bill and Elizabeth Cadwallader; brother, Perry Kuhl; mother and father-in-law, Alberta and Clyde Traw; as well as several brother and sisters-in-law.
