Vonda Lee Anderson

Vonda Lee Anderson, 90, of Delhi, Iowa, passed away peacefully in her winter home in Florida on Tuesday, November 22, 2022. A memorial service will be held at a later date with burial at the Center Point Cemetery.
Vonda was born on September 9, 1932, in Troy Mills, Iowa, the daughter of Ralph and Irma Cook. She grew up in Alburnett, Iowa, and graduated from high school there in 1950. Vonda had a very creative mind and pursued artistic endeavors such as calligraphy, painting, cake decorating, scrapbooking, and making photo albums. She enjoyed going to garage sales, auctions, and flea markets shopping for bargains, including one of her favorites, pretty dishware. Vonda loved being a homemaker and enjoyed decorating her home, cooking and entertaining. She was at one time a Sunday school teacher, sold Avon for many years, and was a huge supporter of her husband's coaching career. In her later years, Vonda and her husband traveled the United States in their RV and she found a love for fishing. She was an awesome grandmother who doted on her grandchildren and loved spending time with them at her home at Lake Delhi.
A devoted wife of 72 years, Vonda is survived by her husband, Max Anderson. She was the loving mother of Tim (Deb) Anderson of Albia, Iowa, Teri Tyler of Kingsland, Georgia, and Mark (Kerry) Anderson of Eldridge, Iowa; eight grandchildren, Suzi Albers, Laura Elder, Elizabeth Siegel, Nicki Tyler, Angie Gwilt, Jason Anderson, Allison Anderson and Travis Anderson; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Mark; and brother, Don (Barbie) Cook.
