Steven George Skelton, 61, of Cedar Rapids, passed away from a long illness on Sunday, November 15, 2015. Family will greet friends 6-9 p.m. Thursday, November 19, 2015, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include sons, Seth (Kara) Skelton of Homestead, Iowa, Shawn Skelton of Grover Beach, California; grandchildren, Laney Sue, Dakota Steven and Jordan Gene York; siblings, Jim (Deb) Skelton, Sue Skelton, Cheryl (James) Carnahan, all from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Kelly Skelton of Fort Madison, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Rhiney Hugh; and grandson, Tanner Skelton.
Steven was born on December 22, 1953, son of Harold and Beulah Skelton. He was a construction worker for many years and also a truck driver. He retired in 2013.
