Sean Edward Meade, 26, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. – 12:00p.m. on Friday, February 2, 2018, at Murdoch Funeral Home, Marion, for family and friends. Funeral Service will follow at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, February 2, at the funeral home. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 3, 2018, at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Protivin, Iowa.
He was born March 26, 1991, in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of John and Maureen (Shimak) Meade. He attended Kennedy High School and graduated from Metro High School in 2009.
Sean was very artistic and enjoyed drawing. He loved the outdoors, especially camping and fishing. Sean also was a movie buff. He loved his family and friends and his sense of humor and big heart drew everyone to love him.
He is survived by his parents, John Meade and Maureen Meade; sister, Annie Meade; brother, Jason (Jen) Meade; grandmother, Mary Lou Meade; two nieces, Grace Meade and Abby Meade; nephew, Aiden Meade; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Sean was preceded in death by his brother, Rick Meade; grandfather, Carl Meade; and grandparents, Ed and Phyllis Shimak.
In lieu of flowers, memorial may be directed to the family in Sean’s memory.
