Ryan P. Dolan, (better known as Dolan), 36, died peacefully at the home of his parents, Tom and Pam Dolan of Marion, on Saturday, March 28, 2015, surrounded by his family and friends. Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 2, 2015, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Marion. The family will greet friends from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at the funeral home in Marion, and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday. Burial: Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Ryan Patrick Dolan was born November 21, 1978, and graduated from Cedar Rapids Washington High School in 1996. He was employed by Met Life of West Des Moines, Iowa.
Ryan was an avid Hawkeye and Chicago Bears fan; he loved watching movies, cooking for family and friends, and playing his guitar. Ryan will be remembered for his love of making people laugh, stumping you with a movie quote, and especially for always being the one person you could count on “saving the day”.
Ryan is survived by his parents, Tom and Pam (Hobbs) Dolan of Marion; former wife, Lisa Sadler Dolan; two daughters, Kathryn and Elizabeth Dolan all of Huxley, IA; sister, Tonya (AJ) Sindelar; brother, Jay (Cassie) Heller all of Marion; “sister”, Kristie (John) Bixler of Lisbon; many nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, an uncle, and several aunts and cousins.
