Robyn Rae Sherman-Moes, 50, of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Walker, Iowa, died comfortably at her home Tuesday, March 1, 2016, with her husband and best friend Renae Russom Schuettpelz by her side. Family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, March 5, 2016, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point, Iowa; with a service at 3 p.m. conducted by Pastor Casey Reinkoester. Burial will be at a later date in Walker Cemetery, Walker, Iowa.
Survivors include her husband, John Moes; sons, Aaron and Amanda (Manson) Sherman, Cody and Courtney (Lappe) Sackett and Chase Sackett; daughter, Marissa Moes; father, Charles Sherman; siblings, Randy (Cindy) Sherman and Rhonda (Brett) Freeman; four grandchildren; Charli Ann and Jake Sherman, Kylie and Kellen Moreno; one granddaughter on the way, Brinley Rae Moes; nieces and nephews, Shawna Meyer, Heidi Oltmann, Lindsey Bierman, and Ty Sherman; and many other extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sally Ann; and grandparents, Ted and Opal Peyton, Ray and Mary Sherman.
Robyn was born on November 23, 1965, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, daughter of Charles and Sally (Peyton) Sherman. She attended North Linn High School. Robyn worked for Heinz since 2001. She loved traveling down south especially her trips to the Kentucky Derby and visiting Graceland. Robyn enjoyed horses, being outdoors, gardening, and Rock and Roll music, but mostly she enjoyed spending time with her family.
A memorial fund has been established.
