Robert M. Ackerson, 85, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2016, at Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice of Mercy, Hiawatha, Iowa. Celebration of Life will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2016, Ryan’s on Collins Road, where a buffet will be available.
Survivors include his wife, Regina; children, Kathleen Ackerson of Florida and Roberta Ackerson of Louisiana, step-children, Denny Boots, Bobbie McLane, Connie Boots and Diane Cooper all of Cedar Rapids; 15 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and special friend, Marge Frink of Marion.
He was preceded in death by his parents; children, Linda, Rick and Michael; and grandson, Jayson.
Robert was born on December 10, 1930, in Cedar Falls, Iowa, son of Bernard and Dorothy (Yockstick) Ackerson.
