Mary M. Webster, 83, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away Friday, January 27, 2023, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids. The family will host a Celebration of Life from 1 – 4 p.m. Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Palo United Methodist Church at 118 Clinton Street, Palo, Iowa 62324. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, is assisting the family.
Mary was born on May 29, 1939, in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Leslie and Alice (Prindle) Varner. On May 10, 1958, she was united in marriage to Donald E. Webster in Rock Island, Illinois. Mary worked for Midland Forge of Cedar Rapids before retiring after 27 years. She loved to spend time with her family and friends and enjoyed crafting. Mary will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
Mary is survived by her two sons, Donald Sr. and Dennis, both of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Carrie Barnes, Donald Webster, Jr., and Stephanie Fritz; as well as many great-grandchildren.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Leslie and Alice Varner; husband, Donald Webster; and brother, Donald L. Varner.
