Margaret M. Anderson (Conlon)

Margaret Mary “Marge” Anderson, died at St. Luke’s Hospital after a brief illness on Wednesday, November 17, 2010. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, November 20, 2010, at Blessed Sacrament Church, 650 Stephan Ave., Waterloo, Iowa, by Father Dennis Juhl. Visitation will be from 9-10 a.m. at the church. Burial: Garden of Memories Cemetery, Waterloo, Iowa.
Marge was born on August 17, 1921, in Emmettsburg, Iowa, the daughter of Cyril T. and Josephine A. (Schuller) Conlon. Marge was the third of ten children. She went to school at St. Mary’s in Humbolt, Iowa. Marge was married to H.S. Johnson from February 2, 1943 – 1963. She later married Robert E. (Bob) Anderson on May 30, 1974 – 1988. Marge enjoyed life and her family. She loved to golf, playing cards, and walked five miles a day.
Survivors include four daughters, Janet Weber of Dunkerton, Shirlee (Michael) Tschiggfrie of Mt. Vernon, Marsha (Tom) Zeien of LaPorte City, and Peggi Johnson of Waterloo; a son, Scott (Tammy) Johnson of West Des Moines; a stepson, Randy Anderson of San Gabriel, California; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren; siblings, Patrick Conlon of St. Peter, Minnesota and Dorothy (Neil) Ouimett of Peoria, Arizona; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Cyril Thomas Conlon; her mother, Josephine Ann Conlon; and infant brother, Bernard Conlon; a brother, Joseph Conlon; three brothers, Emmett, Bud, and Gene Conlon; and a sister, Loretta George.
