Linda Kary Toman (Houck)

Linda Kay Toman, 61, of 2623 33rd Avenue SW, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, Wednesday, October 29, 2008, at Mercy Medical Center, following a long illness. Memorial service: 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 3, 2008, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by Jackie Tjarks. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. until the service on Monday at the funeral home. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, at a later date.
Survivors include her mother, Lynn Huber; her children, Jamey Toman, Lindsey (Scott) Chapman and Haley (Luke) Paige; two grandchildren, Matt and Bryce Toman; a sister, Karen Howie; four brothers, Steve Huber, John Huber, Matt Huber and Phil Huber; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father; her husband, Gary; and a daughter, Stephanie.
Linda was born February 9, 1947, the daughter of Robert Houck and Lynn Huber, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. On June 9, 1973, she was united in marriage to Gary Toman. Linda enjoyed fishing, camping, quilting, crocheting and scrapbooking. She also had a love for horses, but most of all she loved being with family and friends. Her memories will be treasured by all.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in memory of Linda.
