Laura M. Felderman, Laura M. Felderman, 91, of Monett, Missouri, formerly of Manchester, died Monday, November 20, 2006 at the Cox-Monett Hospital following a short illness.
Laura was born April 21, 1915 in Manchester, the daughter of Edward and Hannah Brown. She graduated from Manchester High School. On December 23, 1933, Laura was united in marriage to William "Bill? Beam in Tankey, Missouri. The couple was married for thirty years before he passed away in 1962. She then married Clarence Felderman on March 14, 1964. He died in 1966.
Laura was a long-time resident of Manchester, Iowa, a member of V.F.W. Auxiliary since 1954 and joined the Methodist Church in 1933. She worked for Rath Meat Packing in Waterloo, then owned Beam?s Caf? in Manchester many years. Laura also worked as a clerk for Tegan Dime Store and Empire Cue. She was proud of her grandchildren and had many friends.
Laura is survived by her son, Harlan L. "Bud? Beam of Pierce City, MO; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three brothers, Harlan Brown of Manchester, Duane (Sandy) Brown of Florida, and Jim Brown of Anamosa; two sisters, Viola Irons of Williamsburg and Maxine Wessels of Lamont; five sisters-in-law, Rose, Marilyn, Helen and Mary Brown; and three daughters-in-law, Wanita Beam, Pat Sands and Lyn Wilds.
Laura was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, William "Bill? Beam and Clarence Felderman; two sons, Robert E. Beam and Larry D. Beam; four brothers, Raymond, Richard, Lloyd and Melvin Brown; a sisters-in-law, Claudette Brown and Rita Brown; and brothers-in-law, Lester Wessels and Harold Irons.
