Larry Lee Walters

Larry L. Walters, 69, of Marion, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015 at Crossing Rivers Health in Prairie du Chien, WI. Visitation: 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion. Service will begin at 3:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Private family burial will be at the Strawberry Point Cemetery.
Survivors include his daughters, Lori Wilson of Marengo, Lacie Walters of Cedar Rapids; two grandchildren, Shayl and Caden Wilson; brothers, Glen and Jerry Walters; sisters, Janet Ruzek and Nancy Kurt; and his cat Neko.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and ex-wife, Narda.
Larry was born September 25, 1946 in Oelwein to Glen and Myra Walters. He was employed at LeFebure and John Deere in Waterloo until retiring in 2004. Larry was a United States Army Veteran and a member of UAW for over 30 years. He was an avid NASCAR and Iowa Hawkeye fan. Larry was a mechanic at heart and always enjoyed tinkering with vehicles. He especially loved riding his motorcycle.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cedar Valley Humane Society at 7411 Mt Vernon Rd SE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52403.
