L. Lee Bush, 74, of Manchester, Iowa, died Tuesday, May 16, 2017. Visitation: 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Friday May 19, 2017, at Bohnenkamp – Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Manchester. Private family graveside services will be held at Brown Cemetery in Colesburg, Iowa.
Lee was born April 6, 1943, in Dubuque, Iowa, the son of Leavitt Lee Bush, Sr. and Ivanelle (Thein) Bush. He was a graduate of Colesburg High School. Lee most recently worked as treasurer of the Plagman’s Barn Association. Lee liked the outdoors, fishing, camping, and feeding birds, deer, and squirrels. He enjoyed civil war reenactments, putting together puzzles, and most importantly spending time with family.
Lee is survived by his children, Bill Bush of Manchester, Lee (Nikie) Bush, Jr. of Hopkinton, Kelly (Christina) Bush of Hopkinton, Scott (Laura) Bush of Edgewood, and Sheri (Tim Doherty) Faris of Mt. Carroll, Illinois; and several grandchildren.
Lee was preceded in death by his parents; and ex-wife, Betty Ziel.
