Julie was born on May 18, 1961, in Manchester, Iowa, to John “Jack” and Diane (Kewney) Doese. She was raised on the family farm and participated in FFA and 4-H throughout her youth. She graduated from Maquoketa Valley High School in Delhi and obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Agriculture Education from Iowa State University. Julie was united in marriage to Ricki Stephen Boyle on November 13, 1993, at the Golden Congregational Church in Ryan, Iowa. To this union, they had one daughter, Madisen.
After her successful career in sales and advertising, she established the family's equine business, Echo Hill Equine Center. This entrepreneurial venture eventually inspired her to breed and sell Bengal cats. Julie took great joy in gardening, candle making, baking, and flower arranging, particularly in preparation for her daughter's wedding.
Julie demonstrated a remarkable level of competitiveness. She always approached her tasks with determination and committed herself entirely to her efforts. Her daughter experiences a vicarious connection to her through a shared passion for equestrian activities.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Ricki Boyle of Marion, Iowa; daughter, Madisen (Trent) Jochimsen of Anamosa, Iowa; sister, Debra (Lynn) Yelden of Strawberry Point, Iowa; brother, David (Ellen) Doese of Fairbank, Iowa; one special family member, Chris Konzen of Earlville, Iowa; mother-in-law, Diane Boyle (recently passed away) of Auckland, New Zealand; sister-in-law, Anjela (Mike) Webster of Auckland, New Zealand; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, great-nephew, Avery Doese, and father-in-law, Terry Boyle.
She made a significant difference in the lives of many, positively affecting everyone she encountered. Her heart was as immense as the sky.
