Jerry L. Mulholland, 58, of Center Point, Iowa, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, August 31, 2008, in Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha, from cancer. Services: 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 5, 2008, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point, by the Pastor John Seitz. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, September 4, 2008, at the funeral home. Burial: Center Point Cemetery.
Survivors include his children, Tammy Robidoux of Cedar Rapids, Margaret (Bill) Dean of Marion and Jess “Buckshot” Mulholland of Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren, Brooke and Trevor Dean and Walter and Steven Robidoux; siblings, David Mulholland, Phyllis (Steve) Gordon, Virginia (Paul) Hootman, Ronald Mulholland, Mike Mulholland, Fred (Linda) Mulholland and Kevin (Joel) Mulholland; and several nieces and nephews. Jerry also grew up with Shirley Olsen, Florence Brown and Donnie Sickles.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Thomas “Tom” Mulholland and Dwayne Mulholland; son-in-law, Ben Robidoux; and sister-in-law, Rita Mulholland.
Jerry was born May 29, 1950, in Lansing, Iowa, the son of Phillip and Dorothy (Sickles) Mulholland. For 8 years he was employed by Iowa Steel and then was self employed as a mechanic.
Jerry enjoyed fishing, camping, playing cards, drinking his rot-gut beer and most of all spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by all.
