Helen A. Bush, 89, of Manchester, formerly of Hopkinton, died Saturday, October 11, 2008 at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester following a brief illness.
Helen was born December 31, 1918 in Delaware County, the daughter of Bernard and Marie (Schmidt) Goldsmith. After she received her education at the Plum Creek School, she did domestic work for area families. Helen was united in marriage to Roy Bush at the Delhi Catholic Church in 1955. The couple lived in the Earlville, Colesburg, Hopkinton, and Ryan areas.
Helen enjoyed spending time with her daughter and sewing.
Helen is survived by one daughter, Murial Bush of Delhi; two sisters, Florence Henkel of McGregor and Cecelia (Bob) Dudley of Manchester; two brothers, Al (Marjorie) Goldsmith of McGregor and Leo “Duff” Goldsmith of Earlville.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Bush; her parents, Bernard and Marie Goldsmith; one brother, Bernard Goldsmith; five sisters, Rose Goegel, Marieta Knospie, Matilda Goldsmith, Ada Hawkinson, and Nellie Fergeson and two infant siblings.
