Ella Jeane Elgin (Eldred)

Ella Jeane Elgin, 78, of Vinton, Iowa, died Sunday, February 11, 2007, in her home following a long illness. Services: 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 17, 2007, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Center Point by the Rev. Larry Daubs. The family will greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, February 16, 2007 at the funeral home. Burial: Center Point Cemetery, Center Point, Iowa.
Survivors include her husband, Marvin; daughter, Pamela (Dennis) Schneider of Bettendorf, Iowa; two grandchildren, Sharron (Dr. Steven) Rushton of Raleigh, North Carolina and Janene Schneider of Raleigh, North Carolina; two great grandsons, Sean and Tyler Rushton; a sister, Margaret Ann (Robert) Kirk of Cedar Rapids; brothers, Robert (Pat) Eldred of Emmett, Idaho and Wilbur Jr. (Theresa) Eldred of Boise, Idaho; aunt and uncle, Wilma (Earl) Linkenback of Cedar Rapids and aunt, Holly Wirtner of Monticello, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Ella was born June 30, 1928, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Wilbur and Iola (Wirtner) Eldred. On August 5, 1950, she married Marvin Elgin in Center Point, Iowa. She was an office manager for Nelson Electric, accountant for Red Simpson in Louisiana and a homemaker.
Ella was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Center Point since 1954. She loved music and spending time with her great grandchildren.
