Dennis Lee Smith, 59, of Vinton, Iowa, died Thursday, November 28, 2013, at The Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House, Hiawatha. Service 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 7, 2013, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Vinton, conducted by Father Ardel Barta. Family will greet friends from 10 a.m. until service time. Burial will be held at a later date.
Survivors include his mother, Yvonne; siblings Mary (Clarence) Bilsland, Keith Smith, Connie (Al) Keller, and Tracey (Kevin) Kirk; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Dennis was born on July 20, 1954, to Paul and Yvonne Smith. He was an avid outdoorsman, woodworker and loved a good party.
