Bertha N. Dunlap

Bertha N. Dunlap, 93, a resident of Continental Manor Care Center in Blanchester, Ohio, formerly of the Marion and Maquoketa areas, died January 1, 2004, after a lengthy stay at the care center. Services: 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 6, 2004, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion by Rev. Melissa Bracht-Wagner. Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. until service time. Burial: Oak Shade Cemetery in Marion.
Survivors include her son, Rod G. "Roderick? Dunlap of South Amana; three daughters, Ardella Stemm of West Liberty, Lynette Starr of Blanchester, Ohio and Mary Jane Evans of Wilmington, Ohio; a step-son, Laurel E. Dunlap of Leesburg, Florida; nineteen grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gail; two sons, Larry Dunlap and Don Lee Tracy; and a sister, Hazel Davison.
Bertha was born August 30, 1910, the daughter, of Lee and Leona (Hartman) Applegate in Jackson County. On February 16, 1935, she married Gail E. Dunlap. He died August 29, 1960.
