Anthony Paul Gibbons, 34, of Hiawatha, Iowa, passed away Monday, May 15, 2023, at his home. The family will conduct a memorial gathering from 4 - 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at Sharon United Methodist Church, 1809 9th Street SW, Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52404. Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, assisted the family.
Anthony was born October 18, 1988, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Marilyn Gibbons. He wrestled in high school and graduated from Washington in 2007. He worked at Lowe’s and Hy-Vee and was a member of Sharon United Methodist Church. He enjoyed gaming, being involved with church, and loved animals. Anthony was really into music, live concerts, and the WWE. His favorite bands were Slipknot and Disturbed. Above everything, Anthony was a funny kind soul who enjoyed helping others.
Survivors include his grandfather, David Hornocker; aunt, Jill Byrne; and cousin, Jay Collins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn Gibbons and his grandmother, Kathy Hornocker.
