Since 1949 the Murdoch family has owned and operated the funeral home in Center Point, Iowa. For over 40 years Charles and Mary Oxley represented the Murdoch family in Center Point, Walker, Urbana, Troy Mills and surrounding areas. Today the Murdoch family of funeral directors continues to operated the funeral home under the same careful attention the Oxley's provided.

Several building additions have taken place at the Center Point funeral home making the facility completely handicapped accessible. A large family lounge was added in the mid 90s along with a complete remodelling and redecorating of the facility. The facility may be used for visitations, funeral or memorial services as well as receptions after services.

The Center Point Chapel comfortably seats 100 people. Additional seating for over 150 people is available throughout the funeral home.

The lounge at the Center Point funeral home is available for family use during visitation and funeral services and is also available after services for receptions. Audio/visual equipment is available in this area to show video tributes.
